The Superbrands Annual explores the history, development and achievements of some of the nation’s leading brands, showcasing why they are well-regarded and providing valuable insights into each brand’s strategy and proposition.

The Cover


The Superbrands Cover is always a challenge as it needs to represent how brand is a key ingredient in the success of an organisation. The elements that are at the core of being a Superbrand, quality, reliability and distinction should be reflected in the cover design the new 2020/21 annual.

Over the last 20 years there have been many executions of the annual from showing an image relating to the number 1 brand to geometric shapes that carry the colours of all the brands in the annual that year. One challenge is not to make the cover feel like it belongs or promotes one brand. Examples of the previous books can be seen here.

The Competition


Superbrands Cover Competition

We do not mind what medium or style the cover is created in whether geometric, illustrated, sculpted, 3D, collaged etc. The only rule is that the Superbrands title must remain in the same position and that your design fits on the cover template that will be downloadable with your entry pack.

The winning design will be judged by a selection of the Superbrands Expert Council made up of prominent design and brand industry gurus with the final decision being made by the Superbrands team. The winner will receive a £250 cash prize and a double page spread of their work in the 2020/21 annual which is seen by c115,000 people including senior brand managers from the UKs top brands as well as featuring in the reception of many of the top agencies and PR companies in the UK.

Additionally, the winner will get a mention in our Superbrands Supplement which is published in a National Newspaper as well as exposure across our paid Social Media Amplification campaign. This is an amazing opportunity to gain exposure so down load your entry pack today.
